After being sent in to bat, South Africa posted an imposing 193/3 in their 20 overs, with Anneke Bosch smashing 65 off 31 balls and Faye Tunnicliffe adding an unbeaten 52 to help the visitors set a challenging target.
Zimbabwe struggled to keep pace during their chase, finishing on 129/7 after 20 overs as the Proteas Women’s bowlers kept the pressure on throughout the innings.
The result sees South Africa take a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series, putting them firmly in control with three matches still to play.
The Proteas Women will return to action on Tuesday, 15 September, when the two sides meet again at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo for the third T20I.
With momentum firmly on their side, South Africa will be looking to extend their winning run and move one step closer to securing the series.
