SASCOC President Barry Hendricks praised the appointment, describing Msomi as “the perfect example of a pathway system that works.”
“She has continued to flourish in her retirement, and it is wonderful to see her remain involved in sport. I have no doubt she will be a success in this role,” he said.
SASCOC CEO Nozipho Jafta added that Msomi’s journey from humble beginnings to national leadership is an inspiration to many South Africans.
For Msomi, the appointment marks another proud milestone in her career.
