The triumph capped an unbeaten weekend for the South Africans, who won all five of their matches at the venue and underlined their growing authority on the global sevens stage.
Earlier on Sunday, victory in the semi-final against Poland secured the Bok Women’s qualification for the HSBC SVNS 2, set to be contested in Nairobi, Montevideo and São Paulo over the coming months.
The final against Argentina was a tense, physical contest. South Africa showed defensive resilience early on but struggled to convert pressure into points, allowing Argentina to take a 5–0 lead into the break after the opening try of the match.

The arm-wrestle continued in the second half, with the Bok Women steadily gaining momentum on attack. Zintle Mpupha broke the deadlock with a crucial try three minutes from time to level the scores, before Patience Mokone struck late to swing the contest in South Africa’s favour. Nadine Roos added the conversion, and the South Africans were forced to repel one final Argentine surge before the title was confirmed at the whistle.
The semi-final earlier in the day followed a similar pattern, with South Africa shaking off a slow start to assert control. Roos opened the scoring with a sharp break from a dominant scrum, but Poland responded through Martyna Wardaszka to keep the contest finely balanced.

A well-worked try by Tshiremba restored South Africa’s momentum before the break, and the second half belonged to the Bok Women. Tries from Tshiremba, Ayanda Malinga and Mokone stretched the lead, while Mpupha added the final score following a quick penalty as South Africa closed out a commanding performance.
The tournament victory marks a significant milestone for the Springbok Women’s Sevens, who now turn their focus to the next phase of the SVNS campaign with confidence and momentum firmly on their side.
