This series marks the Proteas Women’s final home international assignment of the 2025/26 season and promises thrilling cricket across three key venues. The action gets underway at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium in Durban, which will host the opening two matches on 17 and 19 April. The series will then move to Johannesburg, where the DP World Wanderers Stadium will stage the third and fourth T20Is on 22 and 25 April.
The tour will conclude in Benoni, with the fifth and final T20I scheduled for Freedom Day, 27 April, at Willowmoore Park.

A 15-player squad has been selected for the series, with captain Laura Wolvaardt leading the side in what will be their final official preparation ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to take place in England in June.
In addition to the squad announcement, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has confirmed upcoming changes to the Proteas Women’s coaching staff. The adjustments come as part of a planned transition within the national setup, following the conclusion of current contracts for batting coach Baakier Abrahams, fielding coach Bongani Ndaba, and Strength and Conditioning coach Zane Webster. Their contracts will not be extended beyond the 2025/26 season.

With a crucial international series on the horizon and the global showpiece event fast approaching, the Proteas Women will be aiming to build momentum and fine-tune their combinations against a strong Indian side.
