Premier League Picks Game Week 8

The Premier League game week 8 is upon us! The second international break is almost over, finally! one more before the year ends but we will get to that when the time comes(November)

The most valuable picks

Bournemouth vs Arsenal

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have started the Premier League season in fine fashion, only dropping points when they went down to ten men vs Brighton and Manchester City, winning the rest. They look like a team capable of playing in every game state. This can be even more evident when they played PSG in the Champions League. The Gunners put on an attacking display similar to the way Real Madrid play, fluent movements, dynamic interchanging and unpredictability as each player knew their role.

Manchester United vs Brentford

The Bees travel to the Theatre of Dreams to face a faltering Manchester United outfit this weekend in the Premier League. With the return of Joane Wissa still a few weeks away, the goal scoring mantle will still be on Bryan Mbuemo. The Cameroonian has flown out the blocks this season and bagged 5 goals along the way already.

Speaking of flying out the blocks, the Bees have scored the opening goal within the first 2 minutes of their previous three Premier League games. A clear tactical approach to get the opposition pinned back from their kick-offs, win second balls and surprise them early on!

United are just too open in Premier League games and coming up against a well-drilled, physical outfit like Brentford will be a tall order. I will get on the double chance here, Brentford win/draw.

Liverpool vs Chelsea

The Table-topping Reds are at home to Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend. The Blues have done well so far under Enzo Maresca. The former Pep Guardiola assistant has made huge strides in a short space of time to make this Blues outfit an entertaining watch. Miles ahead of their previous couple of poor seasons.

Speaking of coaches who have made an immediate impact, Arne Slot for me has done the best job. Liverpool look a real threat in the final third and have conceded the least goals(2) in the Premier League so far.

To get them playing a refreshing brand of football without a pure physical breaker in the midfield is truly remarkable. A lot of it is down to the great form of Ryan Gravenberch who has slotted in seamlessly. Worlds apart from the Jurgen Klopp steely midfield, Slot has opted for a more technical base with World Cup winner, Alexis Mac Allister offering much needed solidity next to the Dutchman.

Liverpool have been the best team in the League seven games in and expect the home team to continue that form. Get on the Liverpool win!
