The two-time African champions have been drawn in Group A alongside FC Masar, Morocco’s FUS Rabat and Cameroon’s Lékié Football Girls for the tournament, which runs from 1 to 15 November.
Sundowns’ opening fixture presents an opportunity to set the tone for their campaign, although they will be mindful of their previous meeting with FC Masar. The Egyptian side secured a 1-0 victory over the South African outfit at the 2024 edition, giving the Brazilians extra motivation ahead of their rematch.
After facing the hosts, Sundowns will take on Lékié Football Girls on 4 November before concluding their group-stage commitments against FUS Rabat on 7 November.

The Tshwane-based side returns to Africa’s premier women’s club competition after missing the 2025 edition, determined to reclaim the title they won in 2021 and 2023.
Their place at the finals was secured through a strong performance at the CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA Qualifier in Gaborone, Botswana, in August. Sundowns defeated Zambia’s ZESCO Ndola Girls 2-1 in the final, with Botswana international Refilwe Tholakele scoring both goals, including the decisive penalty.
The victory earned Sundowns their third COSAFA regional title, having also triumphed in 2021 and 2023. On both previous occasions, they went on to lift the continental trophy, underlining their pedigree in the competition.
Group A will nevertheless test their ambitions, with FC Masar’s home advantage and FUS Rabat’s experience adding to the challenge.

In Group B, defending champions AS FAR of Morocco will face Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim Ladies, Mali’s USFAS Bamako and the yet-to-be-confirmed WAFU Zone B representative. AS FAR claimed their second continental title in 2025 after defeating Côte d’Ivoire’s ASEC Mimosas 2-1 in the final, joining Sundowns as the only two-time winners.
The eight participating teams have been split into two groups of four, with the top two from each group progressing to the semi-finals on 11 November. The third-place play-off is scheduled for 14 November, with the final taking place on 15 November.
