Captain Laura Wolvaardt will lead the squad, which includes three new faces following impressive performances for the SA Emerging Women during their recent tour against Bangladesh Emerging.
Fidelity Titans seamer Caitlin Wyngaard has earned her maiden national call-up after making a strong impression on the Emerging side. The 21-year-old will be joined by former SA U19 Women star Nthabiseng Nini of the Warriors and Titans off-spinner Luyanda Nzuza, who also impressed during the Emerging team’s recent campaign.
The uncapped trio will be joined by reigning Hollywoodbets Pro20 Player of the Year Faye Tunnicliffe, along with Anneke Bosch, Ayanda Hlubi, Eliz-Mari Marx, Seshnie Naidu, Nondumiso Shangase and Miané Smit. The group all missed the recent ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and will now have an opportunity to make their mark on the international stage.

The squad also features established Proteas regulars, including wicketkeeper-batters Sinalo Jafta and Karabo Meso, as well as all-rounders Kayla Reyneke and Annerie Dercksen.
The Proteas Women will begin preparations with a pre-tour camp at Irene Cricket Club from 2–6 September before departing for Zimbabwe on Monday, 7 September.
The historic five-match T20I series will provide an exciting opportunity for the Proteas Women to test their squad depth while marking a new chapter in the rivalry between South Africa and Zimbabwe.
