The 23-year-old recently capped off an impressive run by being named Best Shooter in the SPAR Challenge three-day Test series against England, a performance that highlighted her composure and accuracy under pressure.
Ngubane’s international breakthrough came in 2023, when she made her senior SPAR Proteas debut against Australia before earning selection for the Netball World Cup squad later that year. She also showcased her adaptability in the Fast5 format, playing a key role as South Africa secured a silver medal and proving her ability to thrive in the game’s faster, more physical environment.

Her journey to the top has been shaped by South Africa’s domestic netball system. Ngubane represented the KwaZulu Natal Kingdom Stars before further refining her skills at the Cheetahs Netball Academy. Those formative experiences laid the foundation for her move to Gauteng, where she now represents the Golden Fireballs, while also competing for the University of Johannesburg.
Comfortable at both goal shooter and goal attack, Ngubane is known for her height, strong positioning, and calm execution in the shooting circle – qualities that proved decisive against a highly rated England side during the recent Test series.
Off the court, she balances elite sport with academics as a University of Johannesburg student studying Road Transport Management. On the domestic front, she competes for the Golden Fireballs in the Telkom Netball League, where her consistency has set her apart.
In 2025, she was named Best Shooter in Division 1 of the Telkom Netball League, recognition that confirmed her status as one of the country’s most reliable finishers and signalled her readiness for the demands of international netball.
